FNO 2012: Let There Be Food, Drink, Music... And Fashion

Kingston, Jamaica: As Fashion Night Out (Jamaica) takes on greater significance as an entertainment event, numerous stores across Kingston made sure of offer more than great prices to ensure that the masses that thronged the streets flocked to their doors. As one patron said, the night has become a combination of fashion and socializing and so is now a “fashionizing” activity.
So FNO seems to be doubling as a customer appreciation event, as some stores see it as an opportunity to invite in new customers while saying thank you to their loyalists. And food is one the major ways of adding that extra touch.


At specialty boutique, Heather Laine Ltd. customers were treated to fine fashion and food including the FNO special Lychee Martini and the variant the ‘Passionate Kiss’.

ProtojeOver at the Pulse headquarters, small business were invited to come into the courtyard for the first in a series of monthly Trunk Sales. While music pumped, vendors proffered clothing, accessories, handbags, organizers and even art.

Further up town, Base Kingston and Belle turned up the entertainment value presenting a rocking acoustic concert with engaging performances from one the store’s co-owners Cezar, Konkara, German reggae artist Cezar and the night was capped by the high-grade lyricism of Protoje. And as though that were not enough, female members of the audience were treated to chocolate treats from Chocolate Dreams courtesy of Victoria Mutual.
