Etana Releases 'Reggae': The Single

Etana

Reggae songstress Etana has released a new single, dubbed ‘Reggae’. The ballad, which compares love to the thrilling rhythms of Reggae music will be featured on the next installment of the popular compilation series, Strictly The Best, set to be released in June of 2012.
‘Reggae’ was written by Stanley "Rellee" Hayden and Jesse Adleman and produced by A-Team Music with co-producer Shane Brown of Juke Boxx productions. The song starts very slowly, but the chorus is catchy and lyrically engaging.  Widely accepted for her strong vocals and equally strong expressions of empowerment, Etana is probably best known for the songs ‘I Am not Afraid’, ‘Warrior Love’, ‘Wrong Address’ and ‘Free’.
‘Reggae’ is the precursor to the arrival of Etana's third studio album, which is expected to be released this summer, although no release date has yet been announced by the VP Music Group. However, Etana’s publicists have indicated that the album will also feature a collaborative effort between the young lioness and veteran balladeer Freddie McGregor. The combination of bold, smooth vocals from McGregor and Etana should provide interesting results, and is certainly worth some anticipation.
Along with preparing for the release of her third album, Etana is set to embark on a tour of Europe. The tour kicks off in Madrid on June 21, 2012. From the singer will journey to Libson, Portugal after which she proceeds to London where she headlines Culturefest 2012 along with Tony Rebel and Queen Ifrica on June 24, 2012. Etana’s European tour will also include stops in Stockholm, Olso, Rotterdam, Zurich, Oposso, Vienna and Bratislava in Slovakia for the Uprising Reggae festival.
Etana’s sophomore album Free Expressions was released in February 2011 and peaked at number 11 on the Billboard’s Reggae album chart. Etana debuted in 2008 with The Strong One.
